I have a vague project of strategy game similar to Civi. Hobby, still unclear project of mine, you see. Would be Amiga-only, no pc.
I can take care of all the code. But i can't draw gfx and i don't want to use ripped graphics. User interface design is also lacking.

I know there are quite good graphician(s) in the team (you know who you are :)) and probably in the public area as well. Project is classic Amiga, not directly related to Natami, but i feel this is good place to ask anyway.

If you're interested in doing the graphics for a free Amiga game, and only in this case, please let me know. We could contact ourselves directly and start working the draft.

I think it would help if You could outline in a few phrases the keypoints of your strategy game project ...
it will help others to understand better and engage with a higher motivation rate Oo.JRT

It could help, but i have no details. As i said, the project is vague for now.

Basically, it's some civi kind of game which pushes the thing further. You have a land like civi, but once you've done the space race, other planets, with other lands, appear. Now you go in some imperium galactica kind of game.

Hi Phil, I've got a whole strategy amiga project waiting to be coded (one of the reasons I joined the Team). Loads of ready gfx, rules & user interfaces completed, music scores partially finished, everything made from scratch... The game is already playtested to a certain extend(the whole idea begun as a board game which I constructed and finished some years ago).

Would you like to join forces? Maybe we could intergrade your ideas into it (although it's not really a god game, more like a turn-based strategy)...

What do you think?

reading all this my advice is to allow at the start of the game which goals should be checked for, for victory.
This is also part in most turn based strategy games and it sounds a lot like CIV meets masters of the ORION to me.

I do not have a lot of skill that could help either of you since i do a lot of hardware. (ask me when you need a controller or a joystick for your game)

There are a lot of intermediate goals i've planned, and as long as the game can be "pushed" forward to more goals to achieve, it pleases me.

Basically if you take games Civilization, Ambermoon and Imperium Galactica, and merge them together, you have good idea of what i want : from old ages to galactic ages, with RPG part (in civi you have "huts" on the map, which may lead to dungeon or old buildings exploration).

Well, my game won't use joysticks (keyboard or mouse, probably both).
That said, i have no working joystick left and a new A1200 azerty (french) keyboard always can make me happy ;-)
