| Thank you Marcel :) I recall putting down about 1200 Dutch Guilders (or Deutsche Mark) for an Amiga 4000 back in the days when so nothing changed then.. assuming your best bet is accurate. I guess it all boils down to the production cost as a bigger batch means lower costs, but the need of a bigger investment. Either way.. want one so bad :)

| 1200 euro ? omg, thats too much even for fastest amiga. I understand thats custom machine, but 1200e is too much for me. 600 is also much. I can afford about 300-400e (without hdd / psu)

For that amount you would get just the Altera Cyclone IV chip.. nothing more.

| the PCB setup cost is a bit over 200 too but this price drops rapidly when making more then just a proto board so. and then we still haven't said a thing over production. ;)
