What practical consequences does it have for you/us if the board supports 15kHz RGB with C1 or not? Does it have something to do with picture quality and/or compatibility?

You mean besides having the exact same pinout than the Amiga? - none. There is no usecase for that signal that I know of. There will be a 15k-Video module available which mainly consists of video in and out circuits. It will have a S-Video in and output port and (most likely) an analog RGB out port. But also most likely not an DB23 connector. This is because nowadays it is - as far as I tried - impossible to get the connector itself. (If someone has a source, please tell me)

It is no problem to provide analog RGB on a standard cheap VGA connector. Some 1084S monitors come with ONLY a VGA input connector. So it is not really alien.

Sounds like a great plan! I found some vendors that seem to have DB23 connectors in stock. I don't know if it can be of any help:EXTERNAL LINK This supplier seems to be best on price: EXTERNAL LINK They do custom manufacturing as well: EXTERNAL LINK A couple more: EXTERNAL LINK EXTERNAL LINK I'm surprised if someone wouldn't be able to find a vendor located in Germany as well (I suppose some German native speakers could help here). If possible, I think a good and practical solution for the RGB part of your module could be to use a female scart connector instead of a DB23 connector. This way people can use standard scart cables and other more common cables when connecting the Natami to their television sets and/or monitors.

Its a 2 row 9-pin sub-d female connector, only support 15KHz @50/60Hz of analog RGB video.

| The mame and vdr people often use VGA2Scart cables with mostly ati cards with sometimes modified bios to start with 15 kHz. What I want to say you can buy VGA2SCART cabbles ready made if you want. Also Commodore pointed the way by adding this 23->15 pin Adapters to there AGA computers. There have been serveral multisync monitors with VGA connector.

The usual German vendors dont sell it anymore. The only you can get is a DB-23 Case. For Bulding a new shorter Amiga->Scart Cable i want to buy one but i have to use a old Scandoubler Adaptor in a DB-23 Case. But idk if a shorter Cable helps, FBAS sux with my new TV. The picture isnt clear. With my 2 Meter Scart Cable, Single Shilded i have strange flicker.

| could be due the screen refresh rate of you new tv. :/ I can't imaging that they would cut down on scart. Well good luck christian.

No, the TV is good. But all the "how to build a Amiga Scart Cable" Manuals from the internet are bad. It starts like use a 150 Ohm Resistor from +12V to generate a +1V Voltage that is terminated with 75R. Hot Resistor and waste alot of energie cause 5V are available from the DB23 Connector. Then i looked in the Amiga Manual "10 /CSYNC A Syncronisation composite (47 Ohm)". The Scart Input has 75 Ohm. I added a 100 Ohm series Resistor and have now a perfect Picture. I tryed lower values but 100 Ohm give the right result. The CSYNC output Voltage is too High for Scart.

| I think in this diagram the resistor values are correct: EXTERNAL LINK
