| Hi Team! I would like to renew my request for *anything* from the "Demoscene" shelf to be presented on Natami in the same manner as the first YouTube vid, showing the gameplay of a few games. Is my request possible at this point? I can imagine that besides testing Natami with existing games on daily basis, you guys *had* to check at least one demo to see how it runs on Natami. So again, PLEASE, can we see the video of *any* demo running on Natami? Thanks in advance!

| Yes, that would be cool to do once we are done with system bringup. Trying to run f.e. a The Black Lotus demo on the system would be a good idea. We are not at the point where we can do that yet with the new board, though. Thomas will keep you updated on what the system can do at the moment in the bringup thread. Also, this is not a news item, but a request. Please refrain from posting things that are not news in the news section.

| Thanks for the reply. I am really sorry for the confusion with the wrong section of the forum, this was completely unintentional. As to my request - on the first YT vid I can see clearly see WB and icon-launching there, can you please clarify why isn't the same possible with other type of executable (in this case - the demo/intro/slideshow)?

-Bobs vs Sprites. (feature demo)
-Old Amiga mod files on the Natami and new Specifically made for the Natami chipset. (audio quality demo)

| Yes, I can explain. This video was shot to celebrate that the LX prototype board could run some software. It was taken at a little party we had at that time. But the LX implementation was not complete, or else we would have shown many more things. You can read up on the state of the old LX board in the old bringup thread, if you are interested.
Since the LX design in the end did not meet our performance demands, it needed to be redesigned.
So what the LX board could do is pretty much irrelevant, since it is not going to be sold anyway. But when the new Natami MX board can run the things you ask for, we will be sure to make you all know of it.

| Thank you André, this is much clearer to me now. I hope you guys do realise how important Natami is for us, demoscene folks :) Would be awesome to see our 64k intro, "Gift" by Potion, for example, run on Natami =)

| Yeah guys - it would be awsome to see those demos running on the new MX board. By the way: will we see a HW accelerated demo of running 3D core
when the MX is ready?
