| I can't get the link to work but engineers put a laptop under a lamp and got 2 MBs internet access from Leds using a lamp.

| People have already been sending radio transmissions using lasers and photoresistors. By modulating a blue led, you can get your table lamp to blink (modulate) 200 times a second which wouldn't be visible to the naked eye. You wouldn't have to buy a router and this would save money on parts: no network cable, no wireless card and online video would still be smooth playing. The future will have energy saving technology and led lights can be the commander of all household appliances.

| The important thing is, is it transmitting as much power as a normal Wi-Fi card? I don't think it'd be a good idea if it conks out when I move away. Regardless, I think this is a bit beyond the natami project itself. Cool idea though.

| The Amiga 500, 600 and 2000 had LEDs on the case so putting them to use or adding an extra one or even IR receivers could open up more possibilities with what you can do with it. I understand that everyone will say their decision has to do with cost or that it wouldn't be used by everyone but this or even bluetooth capability would open up doors for the Natami.
