Should it not go to 133 MHZ like printed on the Chip?

Hmm... yes, I would expect that either. - So stay tuned.

cool, but wouldn't a handshake princeple work better here, executed on boot up ofcourse?
I mean nice, 133Mhz but what if i need something at 100Mhz?
that is a fourth phase slower, and only would be sync on every 4 cycles. (not that is am expecting to need this, just interesting what if's)

Needless to say, but I am so excited to watch the Natami project to progress so nicely. I can't wait till I get my hands on one of these. Simply the best thing since my first Miggy :)

Yea, i'm getting more and more impressed about the project as it goes on... Last proto pictures look great. We can see a lot of improvements since january. And it seems the project is starting to develop faster bit by bit.

Sorry to necro-post this thread but it seems we're possibly the only people who might be able to answer a discussion that's going on at Amiga.org

So the question is, what exactly *IS* the MC68060FE133?

Thomas, I know you've got one mounted and some debug code run through it so you're probably the most qualified to answer.

Is it a full 68060 or EC/LC variant?
Do you think it's just a rebadged slower 060?

Also would anyone mind me posting our replies to the Amiga.org thread?

I just thought it might be nice to give a full explanation about what we know of these Chinese FE133 060's.

Thomas,

With modern cooling tricks, how hard can a 68060 be beaten? Is heat even an issue with 3.3V '060? Any benefit to cooling one?

Heat a big issue with my A3000/A3640. Sometimes I have evil thoughts of adapting my A3640 to supply CPU with 3.3V, put in 'V' series 040 CPU(3.3V).

AMD co-operated with a company that cooled Athlon processors to -40C  and got (IIRC) a 20% frequency boost. This wasn't really overclocking either as the chips was (again IIRC) validated at the higher frequency.
