I don't think they will cheat the community as they are well known for years and have a serious reputation. It's quite usual to send the goods after getting the payment.

If i remember well, on the "power to people" site the payment is done via paypal. Then if something go badly, every contributors can open a litigation. And, still in the case where something will going badly, i don't concider it will be your fault. You had the idea, but you asked the opinion of people at every stage and on several forums.

But again, i don't see any reason to be cheated by GP software.
