| The author of Professional File System (PFS), Michiel Pelt, wants to release it for free and free the sources. This is perhaps the best file system for Amiga and could perhaps be expanded and improved for Natami (bigger disk support, etc.) EXTERNAL LINK

| Instead of the original floppies going through the mail, someone should send him a Catweasel & a known good 1010 drive with paid return post. It is sort of ironic that the source code for a filesystem cannot be read because of incompatible filesystems. ha.

No, it's not. I think this had been discussed already. Try running two or more tasks accessing the disk in parallel, and see what happens. Very much like SFS, PFS is "naive" - it isn't threaded and only serves requests on a first come-first serve basis. A long-standing request can block the entire work-queue of the filing system.Greetings, Thomas

| Are you 100% sure that PFS3 has this problem? Maybe it was only a problem of PFS2, PFS1 or AFS?The instructions and advertisements for PFS3 clearly state that it is really good at handling multiple requests. My game generates multiple requests all the time. I have had horrible bug reports from ppl who tried to play the game from a SFS partition. But many ppl play the game from a PFS3 partition and they never complain.

| Back in the days I used both PFS2 and PFS3 for several years, without any issues. So it worked fine for me anyway. :)

| I remember using PFS3. It was so cool! My UFO-Enemy Unknown was running faster from PFS3 partition than from RAM-disk. I was stunned!
