| How many lines of code are there to bring up the NatAmi baseboard?

| Hi everyone. Just registered to show my support of this incredible project. Have been off the Amiga scene in about 10 years, but have regularly missed it. Have been searching for the right Classic Amiga for a few years now, and was just about to click "buy" on a seriously overpriced Amiga 4000, when I found this site. Can't wait to see it running:)

| Yeah me too, does anyone know when it might be possible to buy one of these boards? Do you need to be a technician to get anything out of it?

LOL!!!!!!!!!Hi Paul, read some of the many threads about what the NatAmi will eventually blossom into. OR..... Just TAKE MY WORD on it, read nothing and buy one when available, and be STUNNED, AMAZED and AMAZED SOME MORE at what they, the NatAmi Team, have materialized seemingly, from thin air!!!! It will "knock your socks off!!!!" :-DDD

There is no release date yet, so you'll just have to follow the site closely :) I'd say you need to be as much of a technician, as you do with a Classic Amiga.

| From time to time I am thinking to myself.... Well done Natami team. It is not easy to invest your free time to project like this... You all deserve our support. It is easy to read forum news for us observers, but working on project is realy something else. Keep going and godspeed!!!

| Lol Thierry, I'd didn't mean to "diss" the Natami board-I've read most of the threads and have been following the project for a while. I was referring more to the developer board than the finished product. I've had an old A500 which I can program using Amos and I know a little bit about the underlying technology. I would like to get a new board as soon as I can. My worry is if I buy one of the developer boards I might be left with a piece of hardware that I don't have enough knowledge to use properly. Everyone else on this site seems to know so much.

| Congratulations Thomas! It is a very impressive accomplishment and I hope the group here fully appreciates all the design work that made it possible, but I would imagine that there is still very much work to be done yet in adjusting the code for the FPGAs and install the rest of the components that are still missing from the board and test everything. It does appear that the light at the end of the tunnel just got much brighter though and I thank you for all your work to get this far. Hope remains that this project will soon be available to all those who wish to purchase a developer board and then progress can hopefully increase in speed as many minds begin working on perfecting the operation of the FPGA code to copy Amiga hardware behavior and go beyond to where no Amiga has ever been able to go before. Truly a new chapter in the many flavored history of the Amiga.

| Light at the end of the tunnel. Yes, there is. But unfortunately because the memory went from asynchronous to to fully registered and pipelined almost all components need to be "reconsidered" to a certain point. But to show a little bit of progress: There are still some problems regarding the memory controller - but in general the memory management begun to work. So this is a screenshot of the working copper. The copper can now read chipram memory and write DFF register addresses. At the same time this copperlist is processed by the copper the processor (M68k) is running and can read the copperlist out of the memory: This second picture is a screenshot of TeraTerm (serial port terminal program) which is connected to the debug serial port of the SyncZorro CPU card.
